Brad "Kamikaze" Franklin

Brad "Kamikaze" Franklin has been described as a Hip Hop artist, entrepreneur, writer, motivational speaker and activist. He has had an extensive career spanning several mediums including music, TV, and radio. He is formerly one-half of the critically acclaimed Mississippi hip-hop duo Crooked Lettaz with David Banner, but has also garnered much success as a solo artist with 5 releases though his own company, OurGlass Media Group. After traveling the country and independently touring both the Czech Republic and Ghana, West Africa, OurGlass Media Group expanded to a full service Public Relations/Marketing/ & Entertainment Consulting Firm which also encompasses an artist management company. Hourglass currently manages RCA/Sony Artist & Jackson, MS native Dear Silas. Not only is Franklin the President & Founder of Ourglass, he also co-owns The Kundi Collective with his bride, Queen. The Collective is a small business incubator that was created to help artists and creatives create a vision and plan around their talents. In 2014, Franklin founded and is now Executive Director of Jackson Indie Music Week, a 7 day music festival highlighting independent music in the southeast. He is also one of the founders of “Juneteenth On Farish”, and serves as a Steering committee member for the Jackson Black Business Expo which is coming up on its 6th year. Franklin now travels the country visiting schools, civic groups, colleges and universities speaking on Hip Hop as an economic driver, Ownership/Entrepreneurship in the Black community, a how small businesses can better brand and market their products.
